Alas, my brother's imported 350z has arrived today.



While neither of us can hide our excitement over its arrival, it does mean that my base model CRX won't be able to keep up in the slightest anymore.

I'm making this thread mostly* just for fun, but what swaps and mods should I do to be able to beat a 350z's 0-60 or 1/4mile time? (The 350z is stock as well.)

Let's theorycraft a CRX that blows this thing out of the water.


I'll start:
Prior to the 350z arriving, I have been slowly saving up and researching for an H22 swap. In order to truly be faster than the 350, I'm guessing I'd need a turbo kit on there too. :p
So, that is my current plan to build my CRX up.

What are your guys' ideas for a 350 killer CRX?

 

K20R and a supercharger.

 

an h22 can run 12s at the 1/4 mile in a crx
ive seen this many times

boost is needed
you need a good flowing intake mani
450cc injectors and honda s300
running on e85 fuel

plus you need to diet the car
loose all thats not needed

Not talking 0-60, it'll be easier to beat him in the 1/4 mile. A simple sohc vtec should be enough to beat the Z. B18c/LSvtec/B20vtec you will be gapping him.

 

H2b swap with good boltons will do the trick. Obviously depends on which h22 u get as well.

 

350z is pretty fat and not terribly fast. LS (not the v8) swap for $500 would do it.
