Post Intro - 1994 DC2 VTiR

Hi All,
Just introducing the new project track car, this 1994 Integra DC2 VTiR.

Picked it up December 2019 with 270,000 kms and a couple of mods on it
  • JDM Front conversion
    • Carbon Fibre/Fibreglass hood
    • Fibreglass front
    • Metal front guards
  • Bride Low Max bucket seats (claimed to be original)
  • CE28 Replica wheels
  • Swapped another B18C2 at 180k kms
To get it "road worthy certificate" compliant (Victorian thing) it needs
  • Front Crash Bar
  • Working rear shocks
  • Stock seats (Bride's aren't ADR compliant)
  • Rear Trailing Arm bushing replaced
  • Oil leak fixed up (Suspect a cylinder head seal)
  • Indicator lights (Bulbs and fuses look fine, think it's a burnt ICU)

The current build cost is:
  • $250 Front Crash Bar
  • $24 Spark Plugs (BKR6E-N-11)
  • $35 Castrol Edge (5w30)
  • $10 Oil Filter (Wesfil Z79A)
  • $20 Rear shocks
  • $266 Front brake rotors (DBA T3 4000 series)
  • $83 Rear brake rotors (DBA Street standard)
  • $60 Rear brake pads (Pmu ns400)
  • $80 Front Seats (gsi)
  • $40 ICU (gsi)
  • $5 Front Impact bar bolts
  • $20 Rear camber arms (ebay spec)
  • $142 Rear Trailing Arm Bushing (Hardrace)
  • $18 Wipers (Youen - AliExpress)

Issue: Rear drivers side indicator light not working in dc2 vtir.

After checking the fuses and bulbs which both looked fine, this ICU (Integrated Control Unit) was the next suspect.

Upon more testing, the hazard lights stopped working as well and then I came across this post.

A symptom of a defective ICU, [a common Honda/Acura problem] is one or more of the above not working.

What exactly is your problem? 94

This is the printed circuirt board of the ICU out of a dc4 gsi, looks pretty much the same. Someone was requesting it in another thread for a picture to recreate it, but I haven't met the post count yet to reply to it.
