Need help with b20z1 eg5
Looking for some advice on my B20 EG
When I turn the car over, the starter motor stops like there is too much compression or it’s sparking too early or late or something, in the video attached I have the key turned all the way for pretty much the entire duration of the video. As soon as the dizzy is unplugged or if you take the dizzy cap off the car turns over freely without stopping. I had this exact problem about a year ago when I had my d16z6 in there and swapped the dizzy cap and it ran straight away and never had an issue with it til now.
I have put a b20 into my eg5 using a D16Z6 loom, d16z6 injectors running a P28 with b16a2 ignition values and b16 fuel values with 20% fuel added throughout the whole low cam map. I am using the distributor body from the b20z1 and put in d16z6 distributor internals so that it plugs straight into my loom. The car didn’t run when I tried this so I tried the distributor internals from a D15z6 obd2 dizzy and used a conversion harness, this also didn’t work so I brought a brand new dizzy cap just to be sure and tried all of the rotor arms I had and still nothing. I then brought a dizzy from a DC2 and this didn’t bolt up and the cap and body of the distributor are a different shape to the d16z6 and b20z1 dizzy body’s so I figured I wouldn’t be able to put the dizzy internals from the DC2 one into my b20 dizzy body. I have tried every variation of distributor parts that I have and this same thing keeps happening. Iv tried flipping the bit on the end of the dizzy that goes into the cam 180deg multiple times incase that was wrong, checked all earths, battery terminals, tried a set of d series ht leads, only code I’m getting is something to do with autobox as car used to be auto.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated
