Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a Honda Civic 2005, 1.6 Engine, Petrol.

It had its timing belt changed in 2014 at 49300 miles. 6 years later its done around 55000 miles.

Do I need to change the timing belt, or can I continue using it as is?

 

Any help appreciated!

 

I would say they have about a 70,000 mile life just from memory , you can do more research to find out for your particular car

 

It's only been six years and 5,700 miles?


It's just fine. You don't need to replace it.
