“Check Fuel Cap” light will not terminate
I have a 2009 Accord and for the last few months the “check fuel cap” light has been on and off constantly. I replaced the fuel cap and nothing changed. Oddly enough, sometimes this light will go off but then the check engine light comes on. One of these two lights is on at all times but never both at the same time. I had the codes checked at two separate places and both returned zero active error codes and no error code history.
after speaking with the mechanics it seems that it’s likely there is a leak in the fuel system somewhere. I was hoping that someone with experience could confirm this assumption and possibly suggest other issues and how I may be able to find the leak and/or fix other possible problems that prompt these lights.
Thanks!

Next time the CEL lamp illuminates, don't turn off the engine.
Connect your code reader and check for codes.
Might be that your PCMs memory fuse is blown, thus no codes saved when engine is turned off.
