Default 1999 Accord rear rotor removal question

Hey all,

Trying to get my rear rotor off for an overdue replacement, but it appears to be a single piece (pictured below). Will I be sad if I go at it with a hammer?

The holes should be threaded. If everything is backed off or removed properly all you should need is a hand full of bolts and then they can be used to push the rotor off

A little penetrating oil between the hub and rotor might help also.

Awesome. So I'm hearing that I can take a hammer to it, no sweat. Should knock it loose, yeah?

I wouldn't beat on it too much. Bearings don't like that.
The original rotor screws can be used two fold.
One to attach the rotor, the other is to move the screws to the threaded rotor holes from the countersunk holes to aid in pushing the rotor off the hub.
But from the looks of it, those screws are long gone.
Get some grade 8.8 or better bolts, anti-seize, mini map gas torch.
Slather the bolts in anti-seize, screw them into the non countersunk holes and apply a bit of pressure evenly to both bolts.
Start applying heat to the rotor evenly while adding pressure with the bolts.
Make sure the rust around the register bore doesn't interfere with removing the rotor.
If all goes well the heat and pressure should allow the rotor to come off the hub.
When you get the rotor off, make sure to apply some anti-seize to the back of the new rotor hub so it won't stick next time. Not too much, just enough to be 'painted'.

Mad Mike, thanks for the detail! I'll see if I can grab a couple bolts that will fit the threads, and I'll plan to only hit the rotor a little. Great idea with the antiseize too!
