Trunk hard to close
'02 civic LX (Canadian) here.
So ever since I've bought this car for used, the trunk's latch and striker was tied down together with rope.
Today, I've finally made up my mind to swap the latch and fix the dang thing because I've grown tired to folding back seat to take the stuffs out.
I've got used latch from pick n pull (and confirmed that the latch actually works), and replaced it on mine and tried closing it.
It bounces back up!
I tried couple of times again and then it closes.
When I unlock it, it just makes popping sound like I've forced it down and the lid shoots up.
I don't think this is gonna be good for the latch, so any suggestions?
