Creaking in front end 2002 Honda Accord LX
I’ve read quite a few threads on this topic already on here but obviously it’s always better to provide the exact scenario than assuming someone else’s problem is the exact same as your own.
so I have a 2002 Honda Accord LX. Just in the last month I took my car to the mechanic and they replaced the complete driver side control arm, both ball joints and the tie rod. The noise persisted so I took my car back again and they fixed the lower control arm, both ball joints and the tie rod on the front passenger side. The noise still persisted so they greased the struts but told me they don’t believe that was the issue.
before I replace the struts on an unconfident mechanics suggestion I wanted to see what this site thought. So I hear the noise when I get in the car, go over bumps, and turn the steering wheel. It gets worse the more that I drive it throughout the day. If I push down on the front end it also makes this noise. The car however handles fine and the mechanic said when pushing down on it the lack of continued bouncing shows the struts aren’t in bad shape. Just a bit more history I first replaced the ball joints in 2018 and the sway bar.

Usually its the lower ball joints when they go dry.
Look in there to make sure it has been replaced. As I grow older I trust shops less and less.
