EF Civic driver side door won't seal.
Sounds like the catch on the body needs to be adjusted for the door. Loosen the 2 big screws and get it set where the door is flush with the body and seals when its shut.
You may need to clean / lubricate the hatch locking mechanism. Does the release lever work?

If it's a hatchback, the trunk latch has a molded plastic coating that cracks and breaks apart eventually, which creates just enough play that the striker doesn't reliably depress the latch far enough to catch. Seems to happen faster when you don't have good hatch struts/slam the thing a lot. Ask me how I know.
The sedan is reversed, so the striker is on the body and the latch is on the trunk. Same thing could happen in theory but I've never observed it personally.
