I own a 2000 Honda Accord V6 2D Automatic. I want to make it tow Capable.
1) what suspension parts are needed?
2) dose work need to be done to the transmission?
3) is a lift kit needed?
4) is air suspension required or recommend?

Tips and recommendation and ideas greatly appreciated!

Honda lists the towing capacity at 1000lbs for your vehicle. You will be limited to towing a very small trailer at best. There are tow hitch receiver kits available online that bolt onto sturdy parts of the body.

1.)Just make sure everything is in good condition. Shocks, brakes, etc. Any worn components will be much more prominent when adding so much extra load to them.

2.)I would recommend a decent sized aftermarket transmission cooler. The V6s of that generation are prone to transmission failure and the extra heat created from towing will only expedite the failure if precautions are not taken. You must turn overdrive off to tow, which means you will be limited to D3 and only have 3 forward gears, further increasing heat generation.

3.)No it's not a truck.

4.)No it's not a truck.
