Noise at 1500 to 2000 rpm after changing timing belt, water pump, 2 auxiliary belts
I changed the timing belt and water pump, timing belt tensioner, power steering belt, alternator belt. All new parts. The engine is at 196800 km, so it was time to change the belt.
The car is a Honda Civic EJ9 1.4i, hatchback, engine is D14A3.
After this, the car makes a "whining, or almost griding" noise, at the range from 1500 to 2000 rpm, above 2000 rpm it goes away. The mechanic says he can loosen the belt, but it will start whining after 50.000 km.
He says i shouldnt worry, give it some time, it will get quiet over time ?
What do you think, thank you for answers.

Mechanic should be able to diagnose the sound himself. If it didnt make the noise before then the mechanic did something wrong and needs to fix it himself

FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DROP THE SCREWDRIVER INTO THE BELTS AND BE CAREFUL WHEN HOLDING IT TO YOUR EAR DONT GET IT CAUGHT IN THE BELTS.
