What’s up guys, so my buddy is doing an engine swap he’s putting an engine off a 2003 civic ex which is the D17A2, into a 2002 civic Lx and the engine code is a D17A1. The problem he ran into is that the D17A1 only had one O2 sensor on the intake vs the new D17A2 has two O2 sensors one on the intake and one close to the firewall. He’s Putting in the whole engine, harness and Ecu but since he can’t put the second O2 sensor he was wondering if that would cause a check engine light to come up once he’s done with the swap and gets the car to run? Sorry in advance I’m not a Honda guy just doing him the favor and researching for him. Thank you guys 🙏🏽
