04 accord ex transmission swap
Man.. this is starting to become a pain... long story short my niece was going to give her car away and well she couldn't afford to fix it. Well I decided to get some friends to help swap out her old transmission for a newer one. It's taken some time but I managed to get new transmission in and bolted on. Got car altogether and go to start it... click....click... ok batteries good, took starter to go get tested, starters good so now I'm sure I fudged up the transmission install somewhere if anyone can give me help or guidance please do
***insert sad face*** cant hand crank the engine, it seems somethings in a bind but all signs point to me having to pull the trans out I was trying to avoid all of that but geez. Is it possible to unbolt the trans and slide it back just to check on everything or does the WHOLE thing have to come back out i.e. axles, suspension
Hmmm, good question, I'm thinking if you prop the engine and trans up separately and undo the mounts you might just get away with pulling them apart an inch or two; no guarantees though.
