Default 2018 honda accord 2.0 touring resale value

I bought this car for $32, only 8k miles and i was doing some research on resale value, because, maybe, i might trade it in for a new CRV, but, i see the trade-in value for 24 or less, this is really low and i will lose, is this for real?, just wondering why this supposedly number one car in america, loses so much value.

The second you drove off the lot you lost 15-20%
Then the mileage, and wear. Its 2020, should have bought an SUV like every other woman, in the first place.

Keep it nice folks.

You have two factors working against you. First, you tend to get hit by depreciation pretty hard right away on a new car, with few exceptions. Second, trade in value is always lower than the private sale value, so dealerships have room to mark them up for a profit.

I was just making comments about this vehicle, but this bonehead, who doesn't own a honda put his two cents. But anyway, i do understand the depreciation factors. I just didn't think it was this bad, i used to own a Acura TL, only had for about a year or so and did not lose much. Thank you for your comments, i wish every one was like that, just making conversation.
