9th Gen Civic SI
Looking at getting a PRL turbo kit with Hondata, i have had a couple of boosted B series cars years ago but looking to get back into the game with my son. So we grabbed a bargain on a 2013 SI with 90k miles and will be boosting this spring. Are there any write-ups or guides on here, mainly look for the "does and donts"? I have searched but cant find anything on the 9th gen. Any help is greatly appreciated.
First, this wouldve been better posted in the forced induction section. Second, you want to make sure the car is mechanically inclined. Theres alot more info on 8thcivic for 8th and 9th gen civics. From the 8th civic that i help boost, you may have to bend some brake lines backward on the firewall to clear the manifold. You will want to wrap the manifold as its pretty close to the firewall. I know the manifold is different in general. Point being take care for the stuff on the firewall. After we bend the hardline ls back, we wrapped them in DEI gold tape. Also, for tuning purposes, i rewired the MAF sensor to and obd1 IAT sensor.
