Flashing D4 Light help
Code number 14. Read it could be a bad ECM or TCM or a short in between the two. Bought this 94 accord a few weeks ago. Worked fine, shifted fine, until a few days ago I took it over the mountain about 180 miles. Made it there. Came back was about 120 miles out on my way home, the check engine light came on and D4 was blinking. Was a blizzard and was going slow and nothing seemed to be effected. Went away when the car was shut off and back on,
Come a few days later (today). I was driving and it came back on after about 2 hours of driving. Will not go away now. Having some problems while driving. If I get to 3100 RPMs or so, it starts to shake/bump and feels like a misfire. If I push it hard enough to push past that. It sounds like it normally would when you try to speed up, and revs up, but the car won't accelerate.
Basically had to drive home going between 40-60 the entire time. Tried to keep it below 3k rpms the entire way.
What steps should I take to troubleshoot the code I got? Could a bad ECM/TCM even be causing this? Or is something wrong with the tranny itself?
Automatic
Thank you in advance

If there are any other codes from the CEL, fix those first.
D4 code 14 is related to the FAS wire communication between TCM and ECM.
D16 on the TCM to A18 on the ECM is a BRN/WHT wire. Verify it is properly seated in the connectors, the pins are not loose/corroded and the wire itself is not grounding out nor broken.
