1. remove the PCV valve at the intake manifold along with the hoses
2. use a vacuum cap to close up the nipple at the I/M
3. remove the black box that is mounted on the back of the block (held by 2 10mm bolts IIRC)
4. re-use one of the 10mm bolts to install the fitting.
Assuming that you are using 10AN braided lines instead of that crappy silicone hose, you run one line from that fitting to the catch can. The other line (of the catch can), you can connect to the nipple at the valve cover. From the pics, I highly doubt you will be able to clamp down the braided line on the nipple of the C/C.
Safe to assume that you are non-turbo currently right? The pcv uses engine vacuum to pull unburned fuel and air that makes it past the rings (blow-by). If left in the block, it can shorten the life of your oil. You can get an OEM replacement pcv and then add the oil catch can in line to it.
This is on a 338k D15 and the 2nd pic is from 2 weeks of normal driving.
I had that same exact canister and got rid of it. The fitting on that can is not -10, it’s is too small since your not boosted or high compression it’ll probably work for you.
if your high compression and boosted then you’ll need to redrill the canister holes to fit a -10 for it to be effective.

yes I’m currently non-turbo with plans of getting a Greddy one day. My PCV is due to be replaced but i was hoping I wouldn’t have to deal with the PCV anymore if i got this catch can. But are you saying I would still need to add a PCV in line to the catch can or else shorten the life of my oil???

PCV is deleted when you are running a catch can setup
You can run a catch can with the pcv.
if you remove the valve, you'll be venting to atmosphere. A mostly stock NA engine isn't going to have enough blow by to overwhelm the valve, so why would you not run one? Its not a 2 stroke diesel from the 60s.
Oldman is trying to say take apart the pcv and take out the little ball and spring and then use gasket maker to seal it back together and then the stock pcv valve will be free flowing so you can use with your catch can setup. I’ve done this before with that same can and worked pretty good with my turbo setup, had a lot of nasty crap in the can. But went more boost so I had to change to bigger an line.

yea it’s stock D1.6L VTEC but i want to get a small Greddy turbo one day. It does have a lightweight adjustable cam gear.
stage 1 Exedy clutch kit.
walbro fuel pump.
tanabe exhaust (60mm) magnaflow catalytic converter (63.5mm) , skunk2 exhaust manifold with heat shielding. Short ram COld Air Intake. And buncha lightweight suspension and brakes.
Getting Skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body to go with this oil catch can when I finally gather everything for it.
if you can recommend some rods, camshaft, springs or valves or whatever I’d need to safely run that smallest GReddy turbo? Because I’d like to do that soon as well, after i get a Hondata chip and get it dyno tuned.
but for now I’m focused on the catch can and maybe keep the PCV valve in line somewhere since there’s no agreement on deleting it.
GL finding the kit. Hard to find. I was able to locate an edelbrock kit for mine, complete. Just need to freshen up the turbo.

Here's a pic when I welded a fitting onto one. It had chunks of oil/carbon looking stuff.

but this is in a closed system, correct? How would you run the lines if it were a vent to atmosphere system?
