95 civic DX sedan no start issue
It seems like only on cold mornings that the car is hard to start as in just cranks will not start once it warms up starts and runs flawlessly.
ive replaces the main really quite a few times and have a bunch of spare that are all new even changing them out doesn’t help I’m stumped on how to fix it because it’s driving me insane and ticking me off..
THIS CAR IS NOT A DAILY , ITS A MINI STICK RACE-CAR so how ever I can get this to stop happening and not have to worry about it would be great

it’s weird I can live the key in the on position for a minute or 2 and everything will work like it’s supposed to it’s only after it’s sat over night in the cold I’m in Florida so it doesn’t get crazy cold but it’s frustrating and I do not know exactly how to test the for spark
also I’ve been reading a bunch on here about maybe it being the ecu but when I bought the car the previous owner converted it to manual and left the auto ecu in he said he soldered so stuff inside inside of changing the ecu? Not sure how that works but when it’s warm I do not have the issue at all and once the car is running after I fight it, it starts and runs perfectly every time after until it sits over night in the cold
Still the problem is driving me nuts and I’ve been trying to find the answer but not luck I’ve look through this forum and still do not know where to begin on how to fix it any help is greatly appreciated
You may want to check the previous owners work on the ECU. It is pretty easy to convert an AUTO ecu to Manual but cold solder joints could definitely cause issue. Not sure about starting being an issue.
Here is the DIY thread for conversion so you can see what was done on the ECU.

I don't believe your main relay is the issue being you've tried several and still have the problem on cooler mornings. I say cooler being south florida doesn't see cold even during winter. Frost is gone by 7am
So lets start off with the basics... On a cold morning when it just cranks and doesn't start, pull a spark plug or two. Are they wet and smell of fuel? If they are, your relay and ECU is working just fine. ECU will not deliver fuel if relay isn't working. Then check spark, best to use a High Energy (HE) spark tester. They are cheap and are designed for our applications to test for spark safely. Is the spark bright blue/white? If it is, it's good, a weak yellow spark is not.
And lastly would be air, but she runs and you run her hard at the track so I don't think she has a problem sucking air. But a dry and wet compression test can be telling. Both on a cold morning as well as after warmed up after running a bit.
