I am finding the need to replace my bank 1 catalytic converter in my 15 Honda Accord LX. Wondering if anyone has any experience removing the part, it looks quite accessible but hoping to get some advice on the steps to follow.

If you are planning to do the job yourself, I have 2 pieces of advice. 1: look on YouTube. You'll likely find helpful videos there. 2: Be sure you have the correct tools and all relevant info before you start so you don't get caught by the short hairs.

 

Under federal law, the catalytic converter is covered for eight years or 80,000 miles.

 

I wasn't aware of that. Good to know.
