Default "hair" in transmission

So the other day, I pulled a transmission out of '95 integra at a salvage yard. When it came off, the bell housing was packed full of what looked like short thin hairs. Could this be the fibers of the friction disc coming off as the clutch is going bad? A bad clutch could've been the reason it was junked in the first place as it had no body damage or rust (southern Cali so usually no rust anyway).

Yes, it is likely fur from a wasted clutch disc.
