I put a d16z6 in my 91 civic dx. I am using obd0 harnes just ran a wires needed. It starts great a little idle surge when cold. It runs good but it will shut off at random times. It starts right back up. Does anyone have any ideas I checked iac and tps.

 

Did you check the ECU to see if you have any codes?

 

Yeah it has a IAT. And o2 sensor and tdc. I changed the dizzy and it’s still coming on

 

You originally said you checked the iac. Did you check the IAT? I've never experienced that causing the engine to cut, but having IAT, TDC, and O2 could point to a wiring issue. If you haven't yet, verify all grounds are clean and tight.

 

Any check engine light / codes?

 

def sounds like a bad ground/loose wire... IAT and O2 def will not cause it to just cut off, TDC is unlikely as well... could be a bad dizzy also (esp if its aftermarket ebay or amazon)
