ENDYN's last B
7000. dollars plus shipping FIRM {exactly what i have in it}
This is a one of a kind never to see another like it.
When I knew I couldn't finish my project I contacted Larry about his motor. I thought respectfully to ask if he minded that this gets sold. The opportunity to have Endyn produce a motor for my project was unbelievable to me. How my toe got into the door was even crazier. Larry is a charming, matter of fact speaking, no nonsense (LOL) master machinist with the most capable equipment in the industry. Not forgetting to mention the hands that massaged each and every head port after the CNC. His unyielding pursuit of perfection is a testament of his abilities and accomplishments to this day.
No longer producing motors but custom cylinder heads, Larry has left his "last B" for public consumption.
71 years old and still a giver. He gave me this opportunity and now I offer this B to collectors everywhere.
OK, I have paid my great respects to Larry. But you came to buy a motor.
Lets begin:
There are many more photos. there are videos of the head being machined on you tube with a Newen Contour BB CNC seat machine. Simply the best equipment.
I have pictures of Larry's hand written assembly notes for every part. I have eMails between Larry and I discussing this project and revealing info about critical choices in components, performance expectations and fuel requirements etc..
This motor and all components are inarguably perfect.
Specifications include:
Darton MID sleeves 84 mm bore (which Larry believed was the perfect size for best head flow) which unshrouded the valves making a cone fully flow around each one.
Custom made pistons (12.5:1 compression) from Weisco forgings designed for max abuse top side. The ring pack has been pushed down to achieve the most stable platform for combustion temps and to protect the valve relief areas from thermal deformation. The custom made wrist pins are brutally sized for extreme power and exotic fuels. The pictures show just how much material is there to reduce any wrist pin flexing.
Custom Crower HD turbo rods.
A perfect crankshaft (no grinding at all), balanced on the finest machine. Hand laid in on OEM Honda bearings into a line bored foundation.
A custom Endyn block girdle fully installed to its new block bottom end stiffening the rotating foundation to its limits.
A custom Larry Widmer modified ITR Honda oil pump massaged to the max.
ARP fasteners and lets not forget the machining that brings all these parts together (line hone, deck the block, bore and hone with a massive deck plate torqued to spec so that the Darton MID sleeves are very happy to see the pistons).
The cylinder head is full of Super Tech hardware with extreme duty inconel exhaust valves. After a long discussion about the choice to use Super Tech he responded they have the best in house quality control and materials.
Larry's own custom valve guides.
Custom D shaped cylinder head to direct flame travel and keep thing flowing. He is a master of the cylinder head. His vision and efforts have been recognized around the world. The best of the best have won with Endyn over the last 40 years. He sees this stuff in his dreams and makes them come to life in metal artistry.
The head has received a custom CNC treatment and even then Larry puts his craft into hand finishing every port.
The ports have been welded and reshaped according to Larry's liking. The head was finished on a Newen Contour BB. nothing was spared about this build. What Larry asked for he got.
The head was even line bored to restore a perfect finish to the cam saddles.
I'm sick about selling it. Life doesn't go the way we plan. Somebody is going to get a unicorn here!
This is the last one.
Good luck and thank you.
Thank you Larry. You treated me like a friend and made me feel welcome every trip down.
God bless you.

What is the current state of the motor? Is it completely assembled? Or what still needs to be done? Are there a set of cams installed in the head? If not, did you discuss what would be a good choice?
This motor is in the as delivered condition from Endyn Dynamics. It is still fully shrink wrapped.
the long block is fully assembled almost just no oil pump mounted yet or pick up but new and included.
the cylinder head is assembled but no cams.
Larry thought the ITR cams were spot on for this build but I sold them.

Where are you located and just so I understand this engine is a long block (head torqued) or is it a short block with the head separate, so it still needs assembling ?
Thank you for looking.
This motor resides in my closet in my house and we are located in Buffalo Missouri.
The cylinder head is not mounted. Included to assemble it is an ARP stud kit and an OEM Honda mls head gasket laser cut to the bore.
A very modified OEM Honda oil pump by Endyn is included as well as a new pick up. I have a racing blue Gates belt and ITR water pump also.
no expense was spared.
This is practically a unicorn. I really can not believe it hasn't sold overseas to some of Larry's big fans.

If I had the cash, I would take this, full asking price, no questions asked, immediately. I don't though. :'(
Hope it finds a good home.
No Endyn rollerwave pistons though..?

Larry had a custom shape combustion chamber with this build to increase exhaust squish out the cylinder.
These were custom made pistons just for this head and nitrous abuse. Look at the wristpins again. Sooo thick they lower the max RPM for the motor because they are heavier to be way stronger and not deform.
Also look at how low the rings are! Honda pistons melt the upper ringland because its so thin in extreme use. This upper ringland is twice as thick virtually eliminating a meltdown.

Definitely a cool motor. If I had 10k laying about, I'd be seriously torn between this and a Dart block..and a Dart block I would have just wanted to send to Larry for prep anyway! But I also know he's getting up there in his years, wish I could've had him do some work for me before he retired, although I do have the endyn catch-can kit on my car, so at least I got something. Probably a long way away for me unfortunately.
I would have such a hard time not wanting to boost it too, and this is probably more of an N/A motor with the compression. Though nitrous is technically boost too, and if it's capable of that..Then again, I've never driven such a stout N/A so that might change my mind..I'm sure even without power-adders that this will be quite powerful.
But yeah, the OP ain't playing - this is a unicorn and worth every penny - don't anyone dare low-ball him or even make an offer. I completely believe when he posts that he has 7k into it, and if that's what he wants out of it, then that's a totally fair price.
With the right cams I'm sure you could rev this thing to 10k everyday with zero issues, though if Larry recommended the ITR cams, they don't quite breath that high so maybe he didn't intend it to go past 9k.
Good luck with sale. If I win the lottery or something before you sell it, I'll take it.....lol
Thank you very much for all of your positive responses. This has been a great ride and is nearing the end for my project days. I have been blessed in so many ways for never giving up and pressing on when details have been difficult to obtain. Honda Tech has been a powerful resource in all my projects and i thank you for being the premiere site for info.
I hope this motor gets the home it deserves. I will never regret the journey.

I am actually shocked that a forum of this size and caliber with as many professional builds ending up in movies and magazine covers does not comprehend the historical significance of Larry Widmers contribution to this movement. This motor belongs in a museum and there are many here that realize this as conversations have gone.
how has this been here this long?
this is retail and nothing more for the only one of its kind. Surly there is a need for such a historical specimine in some collectors garage.
God bless you all for your support!

Yes. I understand the history of this engine, and the person who has assembled it. However, unfortunately, many people here believe that they can build the same thing for their own selfish purposes for much less money. I'm so sorry that you're not able to find a quality buyer for this particular engine. I know, that if I were in a position of purchase, I would do just that. I wish you the best of luck with the sale, I'm sure, with a little more patience, you'll find the right person to bite
Thanks a lot for that.
I NEVER intended to give up on the build is why it hurts to linger.
Sorta a reminder that the little kitten could hang in there on the wire in the poster but i couldn't.
Ahhhh, the inevitable regret is formed.
Fortunately i have about 100 or so more to keep me from dwelling to long.

Not really. I have looked at all of the Facebook material regarding actual former honda-tech users. Honestly, it's even more of a waste of time. There is no "Tech" in it anymore. Most of the people that have really been deeply involved in this have kind of moved on. I think I'm one of the last ones, only because I have a sense of nostalgia.
