Troubleshooting: Spark keeps blowing out
I have a 96 b18c ITR, wiseco 9:1 pistons, eagle rods, pt5831 turbo, e85, id1000 injectors, hondata s300, bkr7e plugs gapped to .018, 11psi roughly boost
I just got everything together and i was noticing when i originally gapped plugs at .028 i couldnt go above 5k rpms before breaking up. I lowered gap to .020 and now i can rev to 6.5k before breaking up. I tried .018 but it feels the same.
Cap, rotor are new OEM honda, wires are NGK blue a few months old, not sure if something else is wrong causing me to need to decrease the gap even more. Let me know if you have any advice.

I just lowered my gap down to .018 this week after blowing the spark out at almost 30psi, I had been gapped at .023 before that and was at .028 up to 15 psi. Blow out is not your issue, you sure your not leanning out?

There should be voltage offsets in the programming, but in that voltage range there shouldn’t be too much fluctuations I wouldn’t think
There's nothing wrong with supplementing mJ of energy by using an MSD or Mallory ignition system, without going to Coil-On-Plug. (And a Hondata one at that....)
Its a geniune honda coil as far as i know, from JDM motor.
I have bee researching and thinking about going m&w pro 10 with t1 harness. All these distributor parts are so old, and new OEM parts are very expensive if you can find them.

Again, you don't need to go as far as M&W Pro1. you can keep it simple.
Changing to a heat range of 8 will cause idle issues, even if you weren't still blowing out spark. changing heat ranges doesn't change the amount if mJ of spark.
What is a reliable external coil you would recommend?
