Default Broken ignition switch - fuel pump

Hello! I'm almost finished with my B20 swap into a 95 Civic DX Hatch. I recently purchased it and it ran before the swap. But I've been having issues with the fuel pump not priming. I've replaced the Main Relay, the ECU (P75), and the fuel pump (Walboro).

I searched old posts related to this issue and followed the advice to check all fuses, grounds, wires, etc. I used the multimeter to measure voltage, resistance, etc., at the pump and the relay and everything was fine. However, I noticed a clump of wires wrapped around more wires that were apart of the Ignition Switch. I touched it and it fell apart immediately.

These are the clump of wires (black/yellow) I found attached to the ignition switch. They came apart after touching them.

Could this be the cause of my fuel pump not priming? When I touch the wires together, the dash lights appear and the new relay buzzes like crazy. If I replace the ignition switch, will my fuel pump work again?

This is my first ever project car, so I apologise in advance if this seems like a dumb question. Thanks!

Do you have a wiring schematic for the car?

I don't have that for the car. Would I be able to replace the ignition switch itself?

I would get an ignition switch either from ebay or junkyard. i would take the steering covers off and see where the wires should go. If unsure, I would go to a junkyard and see where the ignition wires go on a car similar to yours and then I would replace that mess and ensure I have good clean connections. The igniton switch is a major player for fuel pump, main relay etc and go from there.

I removed the old ignition switch and I'll be receiving a new one tomorrow. So I'll see if that fixes the issue. Hopefully it will

You should be able to replace it, it simply plugs into the fusebox, just unplug that brown plug and plug in the new one.

And this is why I don't crimp wires....

So I replaced the ignition switch, but the fuel pump still didn't prime. But when I jump the connectors on the relay, I can hear it priming and then I see the fuel pressure rise. The car turned over with some starter fluid, but I'm obviously not getting any fuel. I have 0 fuel pressure. I'm not sure what to check next.
