Trying to help a friend with an 09 Civic Hybrid 1.3 find a short term solution to a bad AC compressor. Can anyone confirm if you can use a shorter belt on the 1.3 to bypass the compressor so the car can be driven? He's probably not going to keep the car more than a couple of months so $2k for a reman compressor isn't a good option. I've looked for a bypass pulley, but can't find one for the 1.3 (several belts and pulleys for the non-hybrid civics). Any help is greatly appreciated.
