Rear Windshield - Moulding Replacement
I have attempted to do this. Following issues to be aware of.
1. To do it properly the rear windshield needs to come out.
2. Pulling it off is difficult, you will have to use an exacto knife to cut some of it off and scrape the residual glue off. It's possible and this is how i did it.
3. The new piece comes slightly larger and will need to be joined together, so it will not look the same as your oem piece.
4. You will need to glue the new piece in place.
It's not something i regret doing, but it's something that i found quite hard and tedious to do. I have found a spare hatch with good condition seal that i intend on putting on my hatch at some stage. The join drives me crazy.

Same part number for the JDM model. I just googled and it appears to be pre-joined.
I’ve already ordered the damn thing so will confirm when it eventually turns up.

I was just checking out my fsm on the mirror and and the next thing up was the rear window. It's very specific about this piece of glass. It mentions the customer not going over sharp driveways after the install. It also specifies where to apply the glue. I would ask for a certified glass shop to do this.
