What is S-NET

I see that there is a connection between the BCM and the PCM called S-NET. Is this a CAN bus? It seems strange because there are only 2 devices on it.

S-Net is a serial communication line.

Are there any details about it? If it's only one line, it might be a simple serial line, or it could be a CAN bus (there is a single wire CAN out there). Do you know what it's used for?
