Hey Everyone,

I have an 08 Accord EXL Sedan with 96K. I am overdue for my timing belt to me changed.

My local mechanic will charge me 675 if he gets the kit or 350 if I bring him the kit. He normally uses the ASIN kits and he did mention they are good quality and may even be OEM.

I did some online research and from what I am reading the gates kit is OEM. The ASIN kits have some recent bad reviews on amazon, not sure if they are counterfeit or not.

I would love some suggestions on what kit to get

timing belt I'd go to honda it may be a little pricey but I'm learning with these cars I'm not replacing parts as frequent then when I go outside

 

Asin isn't oem gates is oem for belts, look on rockauto,

Asin makes great stuff, their water pumps are good. I always use gates and never have had an issue
