PRESENTATION :
Well, the problem is that the engine is dead, apparently head gasket, the body is not early youth but I had a very good price ...
With a 2nd in parts
Several pictures of the general state
I cut the engine compartment of the donor to do some tests
We use a B20 in stock to see what it gives
Then, we install a gearbox to better understand the case
I then try with a D series block
The problems :
- Driver side: the accessory pulley does not pass, it was necessary to remove it. The alternator does not go without knocking in the spar and the engine support taps in the chassis - Rear side: the impressive box comes touching the cradle but there is way to scratch 2 cm on the cradle and the intake manifold is equally impressive - Gearbox side : cutting a protective sheet and cutting / folding the lining of the spar to make room. The gearbox support does not pass, should face it
Of course all this to have an ideal engine position with an alignment of the housing with the floor and an alignment of the gimbals with the hubs
The engine supports are loosened, the sheet of the wheel well is eliminated on the gearbox side, all the supports are removed and the rest is dismantled.
