Icon4 06 Accord Ex Transmission

2006 Accord Ex Car would not move when accelerating. After car cooled off car would work for a couple of minutes. Took it to the mechanic they automatically said it needs a new transmission, Now I decided to take car back to my house and was going to tow it again but decided to drive car ran perfectly. Has anyone experienced this and if so is it the TRANSMISSION that's done?

Sounds like something let loose inside the transmission and gets sucked up by the ATF pick-up inside and cuts pressure. Turn of the car, all the material falls back to the pan until it gets sucked up again.

If you get a rebuild, make sure you get the shop to install the TransLab shift kit, makes a big difference in shift quality.
