Problem with clutch pedal
Hey Guys
I having an issue with my clutch pedal. It had the typical stick to the floor problem. I replaced the clutch master cylinder(since it had the black goop seeping out of it), and its not on the floor anymore, but there is no free play on the clutch pedal at all now. Before it used to spring back all the way up. Also yes I did bleed the system although when i pumped the clutch pedal there was barely any fluid being pushed out. It took hundreds of pedal pumps to get the air out. That didn't seem normal, but this was my first time doing this. I estimate around 300 pumps or so. I also adjusted the clutch so that it would have tons of free play in it as well. Another symptom I occasionally have is if I keep the clutch pedal held down for a while the clutch starts to engage on its own and the car will want to stall if it isn't moving. Have no idea why its loosing pressure like that. Also the slave clutch cylinder is brand new as well.
Also wanted to note that one of my friends accidentally put in transmission fluid in the reservoir cap instead of the Dot3/4 brake fluid that the cap recommends for the clutch hydraulics. Tried flushing it completely out but man, I feel like that would take thousands of pedal pumps lol.
So what should my next steps be for diagnosing whats actually going on? Can I assume the tyranny fluid is the culprit?

Transmission fluid and brake fluid systems don’t go together. At all. Your master cylinder’s and possibly slave cylinder’s seals absorb that trans fluid like a sponge and get soft, allowing pressure bleed off. I bet your clutch slave and master cylinders that you just replaced are ruined.
Yes contaminated fluid ruins every rubber part. You need to replace both cylinders, the reservoir and hose, and the hose from the frame to the clutch slave. Flush the metal line thoroughly before installing any new parts. Don't let that guy near your car again.
