Engine overheat fix not working
Hello,
I have had an engine overheating issue in my 2005 Honda Civic for more than 2 years now. Basically during the summer months when it's hot (more than 80F), driving the car at slower speeds or stop and go traffic leads to engine overheating.
I finally got around to fixing it a few weeks back by replacing the thermostat. Noticed that the old thermostat gasket was not in shape and replaced it as well. I also bled the coolant by running the car for about 10mins with the radiator cap open.
Thought I had fixed it because didn't see the issue come up in the past couple of weeks. But yesterday it was pretty hot and sure enough, the engine got overheated on a slow drive.
I have run out of ideas on how to further diagnose the issue. Just fyi, the radiator fans work fine and I didn't notice any obvious blockage in the radiator.
Any advice?

Most common issue with overheating in the engines is a breached head gasket.

you must take it simple better the coolant components must be checked first then the engine:
1-fans. there is a possible a/c fan turn on and off while driving but can turn off and not on(this causes by wiring issue) can be solve within 2 days or 1 hour.
2-radiator and all attachments hoses, thermostat, cap, reserve tank etc. there is a possible issue if can be seen by eye sight normally.
3-water pump. there is possible that is leaking but cannot seen dropping by eye sight and coolant smell coming from the engine.
4-Engine. Head gasket leaking.
every 2 weeks or little more must refill the radiator with honda coolant when car cold and top the reserve tank to max level to protect the head gasket from blowing.

Thanks for the tips guys. I tried to redo the coolant bleeding my running the car for 30mins with the radiator cap open. One thing that I noticed was the fans did not turn on even once! However, I know the fans work because they turn on when I turn on AC.
I am wondering if it has something to do with circuitry?
