Hey guys! I’m looking to turbo my d16z6. I wanna reach a modest goal of at least 300hp on 92 octane gas. What parts would be the best to source and what should be upgraded?

 

Search the Forced Induction form for threads with D16Z6 in the title and read what others before you have done.

 

Complete block rebuild.. Rods, pistons; Skunk2 rods required minimal notching.. FORGED pistons.. CP, Arias, wiseco, etc.. Compression of around 10:1 for your goal.. ARP head studs, GOOD headgasket (golden eagle, je proseal, cometic, etc). Injectors around 450-550cc. (I'd go 550cc), walbro 255 fuel pump.. Good clutch; Action, comp clutch, ACT... T3/T04 turbo kit. Depending on the depth of your wallet, a good turbo setup can be purchased from Go-Autoworks for around 2,500 that would put you around 300whp.

Stock Z6 head is good for up to about 500hp, don't worry about ANY head work. Stock fuel rail and regulator will be fine at your goal too. I'd recommend an intake manifold and throttle body but, it's really not necessary for that level either.
