Electrical issue
Hi, new to the forum and looking for some ideas. Just got a real deal on a 92 Accord LX. It has sat for about a year and was told it only needed a main relay to run but I noticed for some reason they had installed a push button for the starter, Anyway, put a new relay and a new battery in it and noticed the check engine, battery and oil pressure light came on even though the switch was off. It would crank but wouldn't start. Discovered fuel pump is not running and there is no power to anything else. If I turn headlights on they don't work but the 3 idiot lights dim down quite a bit. I poured a little gas in the throttle body and it will run on it whether the switch is on or off. Figured out it always has power going to ignition if the battery is hooked up but nothing else has power. Unplugged ignition switch and still the same thing. Any ideas where to start looking? It appears to have a short somewhere but I cannot find any cobbled in wires or splices anywhere. Very frustrating. Thanks for any help.
