Default Brand new clutch / flywheel slips bad

I put a JDM B20b in my EK hatch and have a lightweight flywheel with a yonaka 6 puck clutch and pressure plate all brand new with my GSR transmission. I noticed it slips really bad in reverse and i hear banging under the hood if i dont get off the clutch or push it back in all the way quick enough. I almost feel like its the mounts for that but i never had an issue with them before. First gear also slips but im not on it as much as reverse. I also put a K tuned master and slave cylinder for the clutch. I checked the adjustment and it made the clutch pedal feel a little better but it slips just as much. the car even stalled in first twice and took a minute to start back up. Has anyone had these problems and what should i be checking cause im running out of ideas?

If its slipping make sure that the clutch fork doesn’t have a bunch of preload on it. Sounds like a master/ slave issue more then a clutch issue as long as everything was clean when put together. I’ve ran tons of cheap clutches and they get the job done just fine for lower hp cars. This sounds like a problem you’ll need someone to look at in person more then having people online try to guess what the issue could be.

i adjusted the pedal and it feels a little better. It grabs really high up and has a quick engagement point so im hoping maybe theres just still air in the lines. i really only notice it in reverse and sometimes in first its hard to get a good start but that could also just be because its new and im not used to it yet.

Yeah it will take some adjusting to learn how to drive it if your used to a stock clutch.
