Default Getting to C563

I'm tracing down the reason my brake lights don't work and need to check connector C562. Here's the photo from the service manual, but for a sedan. Must the left rear interior quarter panel be removed to get at the connector on a '99 Civic EX coupe?

And here's the wiring harness diagram:

I believe the answer is YES... but you could have already found this out by popping the panel and taking a look. From the trunk end, follow the wire bundle back toward the front of the car and see if the C562 20-pin Grey connector is visible before you get to the rear seat back... and if you do not, then it will be behind the 1/4 trim panel.

Thanks. As I feared. I really wanted to avoid removing the back seat, which I believe is required in order to pop that interior panel.
