I figured as much. Way too cheap for all that stuff, but there were pictures of American workers so I thought I’d ask on here lol

Eh...a lot of factory supplied parts on your Honda are probably made in China.

The only way to actually ensure genuine Honda quality is to buy the parts at a dealer.

There is no aftermarket equivalent to a factory part. Doesn't matter where it's made. Its virtually impossible to achieve Honda part quality for anywhere near the same cost.

What are you looking for? Just a decent aftermarket replacement?

Yeah pretty much. I’m not trying to upgrade with performance parts at the moment. I bought an okay condition 96 DB7. So I want to get the car in normal driving conditions starting with the suspension.

Springs and shocks 100% need to be replaced. Squeaking and pretty rough drive over bad street conditions.

i figured while I’m down there I might as well get some new upper and lower control arms. Pretty sure the bushings and ball joints are worn.

Bought the car from a 70 year old man who
kept the engine in fantastic condition... the suspension... not so much.. they’re the originals from 96 with 197k miles on them. Plus I’m OCD about replacing suspension parts due to pretty traumatic incident in one of my Z’s as a kid.

squeeking is typically ball joints needing to be replaced. its not really a spring or shock thing.

go thru the suspension and replace what you really need to.

Thank you for the tip. I assumed the shocks because when it hits small bumps on the road it would give a loud bang. From previous experience with my Civic EF having blown shocks, I assumed this would be the same. i'll know for sure when I remove them.

I'm just OCD with this kind of stuff. Was in an accident a while back when I didn't know much about cars because the control arm on my 84' 300ZX was so rusted that it snapped on me on the freeway.
