My em2 has been having a long crank lately, I installed new battery , new crank sensor. It cranks for like 5 seconds then starts some times it don’t start till second key cycle. Does anyone know any ideas. I was thinking maybe clogged fuel pump filter ??

 

Id check fuel delivery, pump may be on the way out or the filter may be clogged as you suggested.

 

I had low fuel pressure on an 04 civic , I replaced the pump unit only installing it into the original assembly , I still had intermittent problems for a short time , if they continued I would check all the wiring in the assembly , then I find the entire thing , plug and play , can be bought on line for about $80** , if I hadn't already bought the pump unit that would be a reasonable choice .
