Default More Icebox Questions

I installed my Icebox last week, and noticed the hole near the bend in the tube, and the one in the bottom of the airbox...I assume that these are made for water to escape possibly...I don't know, but doesn't a sealed box make more sense. Does this hurt airflow?

A completely sealed box would create a stronger vacuum then the one that is already present. The holes are there for a preventative measure against the threat of hydrolock.
