Can I customize an 03 Honda Accord ex 4dr if so what should be my first step?
I just bought a beige 03’ Honda Accord v6 automatic 4dr! I’m wanting to upgrade And customize what ever I can to the engine and body for looks and possibly a little quicker car it’s an automatic and my guess is that there isn’t much that can be done to it but I know there’s something that can get me to my goal with it any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!
A long tube J-pipe will definitely help out especially the midrange acceleration. Won't make it louder either. A TL Type S rear anti-roll bar will help handling and reduce the tendency to plow (understeer) in turns. Pretty cheap at your Acura dealer, I think I paid $60. Those will be your two biggest bang for the buck mods.
If you want a bit more sound, replace the resonator with a Dynomax or Magnaflow and have the muffler shop also replace the mid muffler with a straight pipe. With those two and the J-pipe, and leaving the rest of the exhaust stock, it will have more tone at idle, sound a lot better when you get on it and have absolutely zero drone or rasp.
More handling improvements via the TL Type S front anti-roll bar (not a particularly easy DIY job though), Koni Yellow struts on the lower spring perch and an upper strut bar.
