Timing and accessory belts
So dealing with that god awful crank bolt I managed to spin the crankshaft off of TDC dealing with it. The camshaft stayed TDC the whole time. I set the crank back to TDC and reassembled everything. My first question is, I replaced the water pump and upon first start it ran fine for a minute or two and then made some weird hollow like howling noise for 2 straight minutes that I literally could not track down and it went away. The entire time the sound was happening the car idled fine and I can’t reproduce the sound, could it be from the cooling system running dry since the block drained when I removed the pump? The issue I’m left with now is after driving for 10 minutes the accessory belts are screeching. And they only do it in a drive gear not in neutral or park and the screeching only begins when the brakes are depressed and then continues until the car is in park or neutral... any ideas?!?
