Hi all-

I have a 2015 Honda CRV, and recently it began making this type of higher-pitched "humming" noise, very noticeable on highway... usually at speeds more than 30 mph. Any ideas?

It is something related to wheel speed, when was the last time you've had the tires rotated/balanced and the wheels aligned?

 

Check your lugnuts.

Could be bearings but I've heard worn/out of balance tires sound like that too.

 

Had my 2021 CR-V at the dealer today for a hum. They found it was the left front wheel bearing.
Have 23K miles on the car so pretty shocked on this being the cause. Fortunately, they had the part in stock and were able to repair it under factory warranty.
I did have the tires checked to rule them out first.

 

Something else it could be if it is an AWD is the drive shaft to the rear axle, u joints center bearing that sort of thing. And the rear axles as well has its fluid been changed recently?
