Default 00 DB8 GSR w/ ITR Engine needs exhaust help

Hey guys, new hear but long time honda guy.
just got a 00 GSR sedan (had a 01 gsr in high school) now that I have kids I need help with the exhaust. It has to be quiet, close to stock sounding at least under vtec.
00 DB8 sedan gsr, currently swapping in a JDM ITR engine and trans. So the car has a (unknown brand) 4-1 header which I assume is 2.25 collector to stock cat to 5zeigen exhaust. Not quiet lol.
So I need help in 1 of 2 directions:
First I can leave the exhaust as it is using the GSR 4-1 header and swap the current muffler for something quiet. I believe the piping is 2.25 so what is a good 2.25 muffler? ITR stock? or what else comes to mind?

next option since I paid for the ITR swap and it came with the JDM header with 2.5in collector would be to do a full 2.5in exhaust. That would be what? magnaflow cat with dual 02 bungs to magnaflow resonator to again, what muffler? Is the JDM ITR rear 2.5? if not what would you think is best for getting the flow gains of the 2.5in exhaust but also not sounding much louder than stock?

Thanks for the help guys

If you can find the dB ITR b-pipe just located a sedan muffler. Should be fine.

I swapped out my ITR HB muffler for a stock db sedan muffler on my sedan civic. Not loud but not quiet. Sounds fine during normal driving.

A stock ITR muffler will sound nice but they are not 2.5'' at the muffler inlet. On the stock piping it will be ideal.

I have a 2.5" piping with a Magna Flow Muffler and 3" polished tip and it sounds nice and quite under vtec I barely notice it! and it looks 100% stock. I got the poslished tip from ebay and had the muffler shop weld it on. I painted the muffler flat black to look more stock.

This was done so that the tip would not deposit carbon build up on the bumper! sticks out just a little. My bumper stays pretty clean no black soot build up that's common especially on white cars.

Same thing happened with my Skunk2 exhaust ! freaking melted the arch that goes right over the muffler! it looked so bad I literally had to put a new bumper on

Just when they say bolt on think again **** never fits perfect sometimes lol

wunfstgsr can you tell me more about your setup? What kind if pipe is it made out of? do you have a resonator? do you know exactly which muffler you have?
Any sounds clips?

I purchased the Magna Flow muffler from LHT performance, it was supposed to be the stealth muffler that's on there Turbo Integra on there web sight, its 2.5'' in and out with oval shape and center tip. It came with its own slash cut tip and I think it was a 4" tip but its very big and I had it cut off and I purchased a 3'' tip from ebay and had that welded on instead. The exhaust piping is from a Skunk2 Mega R cat back, I cut of the N1 style muffler and put this custom muffler on. The mega R is 70mm piping so its 2.75".

Here's the link to the tip I bought,

This is something similar to the Magna flow I have but again not sure on the dementions but you can always ask LHT Performance for the specs of the muffler and order it from ebay.

I have all magnaflow, and before getting very far from the exhaust shop, I turned around and had them weld in a resonator. That did the trick....sounds like an engine and not a tuba. Gets a little louder at throttle and rpms, but nothing like it was without the resonator. Quieter, but still turns heads.
