I have a 1989 Honda Civic SI I pulled the parking brake and it’s not catching I took it apart and it looks like it’s slipping teeth and not catching to engage what would be the best way to fix this everything looks like it has
Rivets holding it together So I wouldn’t know where to begin on taking it apart

 

Sounds like you are talking about the parking brake handle... I don't know if its repairable.

Even if you got it apart you may need parts from another assembly so why not replace it as a whole?
