Reading SRS Codes
Hey guys,
On my 2008 Accord EX-L (4cyl):
Recently, the dashboard indicator began staying illuminated after the initial power-on lamp test.
I wanted to understand what the problem is before I take it to a dealer. I don't own an diagnostic computer capable of interpreting SRS codes, so I jumpered pins 9 and 4 on the OBD connector, and turned on the vehicle. The Airbag light shows no code, although I am seeing codes on both the TPMS and ABS lamps. (ABS lamp indicating code 6-1)

Questions:
- Is it normal that the Airbag light shows no code even though it is illuminated during normal use?
- Is there a process to retrieve the SRS failure code without a diagnostic computer capable of interpreting SRS codes?
- I am capable of hand-entering OBD commands. Is there a command I can use to retrieve the SRS code (which I might then compare against a table of codes)?
