One-owner, 6k-mile, 1997 ITR

 

Missing the trunk mat and some ding dong used hammer on weights.

 

The trunk mat was an accessory and the ITR came from the factory with those hammer on weights (ugh I know)

 

That scoobysnaxt guy in the comments sure is salty about the auction price and car .

 

Been trying to enlighten him a bit, but it's no use - the old saying is so true - you either get it or you don't, there is no middle ground with this car.

 

Yeah, there's a lot more salty comments. I look a lot of these auctions, and there's always a itr hater or 4 on itrs . I don't see it on other cars. They are supposed to restrict comments that aren't constructive . There's several. They don't post my positive posts about cars. I find that super weird.

 

It's the same stigma, to me, that has always been associated to owning a Honda. Anyone who doesn't own them will absolutely go out of their way to tell you that their turd is superior.

 

True. Also when it comes to performance and value, most people put a direct correlation between numbers on paper and price. ITR just doesn't make sense to these people, especially with FWD and 4-pot thrown in... It's truly an enigma.

 

Sold for $82k, beating old record by about $17k.

I think the cat's out of the bag now - might have to re-start worrying about theft !
