HI Guys,

I'm new to the forum and doing some research, I can not find out why my transmission engine mount is pulling to the rear and bending. I have replaced it with a good second-hand mount with a lot of fighting to get the newer mount it and it is doing the same thing. The rear mount is good, and both other mounts are good. Could it be a bent transmission bracket or where would I look next? see picture attached

looks like someone didn't realize there was another bolt underneath and tried to pry it off.

 

Hi Tony thanks for the reply.....the new mount is doing the same thing when i put it in. I was wondering if it could be caused by the warn mount under that one im not sure.

 

Your lower torque mount bracket should be STRAIGHT... it is bent and thus, pushing the transmission back toward the firewall. Get both parts new and you should be fine.
