Default Texas 1999 Honda Civic DX-stock 5speed manual

$1,800 Or Better Offer

Texas-close to San Antonio.
This is a 1999 Civic DX 4 door with the 5 speed manual transmission. No performance modifications. D16Y8 engine. Mileage is at 275,000 but it's a not a problem. I haven't actually driven this car over 5 miles per hour and I want to get rid of it.

Engine: Was replaced in 2009 with a remanufactured engine (there is a sticker/emblem/company name and it's a different VIN than the car), so I don't know the mileage. It has no modifications, but it seems to drive good. It starts right away with no problems. Check engine light is on, and has been on since I got it, but I think its just the emissions system that needs to be flushed out using those $5.99 bottles of fuel system cleaner from a local parts store.

A/C is currently turns on hot, however the previous owner tried to get all the parts changed to get it working. I bought the A/C bypass switch/accumulator switch. I think it needs that part, but the freon should be drained with an A/C machine, then the part can be replaced. A/C Compressor, hoses, condenser, (and I think evaporator) are all new. Heater and vent fan work. Heater hoses are new also. It should be an easy fix for any mechanic (maybe $100).

Transmission: Clutch is good. Shifts good. The passenger side axel is clicking, and I think the boot is torn, so that's an easy fix for a mechanic or anyone with a few hand tools in two hours. I have a used axel I can include, or they are about $125 new.

Body: good condition overall. No wrecks. No hail damage. No dents really at all except for tiny nicks and scratches. Paint is in good condition for the age and isn't faded. Passenger side fender rubs on passenger door from I think someone going over a hole in the road and the tire hitting the fender back a tiny bit. Easy fix with a crow bar, I just don't want to adjust it.
Back driver's side door handle works from the inside, but the outside door handle isn't attached. Easy fix- just take the door panel off and reattach it, or get a new $25 door handle, then reattach the metal rod. No tint on this car- it would look better and be a lot cooler with tint.

Interior: Good condition. Stock. No modifications. Very basic. Clean but not detailed. Looks like nobody has used it much. Radio is stuck on low volume, but the speakers work (easy to replace). The trunk isn't very clean, but that only takes about 2 hours to spray it and shop vacuum it.

Tires are in good condition: BFGoodrich all terrain (not a performance tire). Brakes are good.

-I don't think the car has ever had high performance modifications. It could easily be used for years just doing basic maintenance, or would have lots of potential for an enthusiast. This car was from the original owner, and I just want to get rid of it.

-Feel free to ask questions as a reply, not private message. I don't think my messages work. I'll post some pictures, and have more/can take more if needed.
