d16z6 in 99 civic
hey i’m planning on swapping a d16z6 into my 99 civic with an auto y8 tranny any parts i need
i got the z6 for cheap and the y8 went if anyone wants to know why

been a while since i've had the two side by side, but IIRC, swapping oil pump, intake manifold (assembly), distributor, alternator and wire harness from the Y8 to the Z6 should make it a bolt in and run kinda thing. there are other ways that work too, but this would be the least complicated as far as getting it to run and drive like normal.
This swap is really a lot of work... and even through all of the stuff that you do know, there are things like Tony suggested that is really challenging to overcome if you want it to look OE. In the end, you will spend more $$$ than a proper Y8 will cost, and it still won't look original.
