Default 1991 civic SI window regulator

Hello all!

I am having an issue finding a window regulator that will fit my 1991 Honda Civic Si. The only ones that are a "guarantee" fit are motorized regulators, and I don't have any switches, or door panels to hold switches for that. When I bought the car it had a manual regulator in it, but im wonderings if it originally come with power windows. Anyway, does anyone know a manual window regulator that will fit an 1991 Honda Civic Si, please?

Thanks, rewW

Not sure if you could option power windows on an SI (probably?), but all I've ever seen were manual. Regulator should be identical to that of any other trim so long as it is for a Hatchback. As far as I've ever been able to tell, the only differences in the doors are cosmetic, all the bits under the panel are the same.

true i second that
just as long as you order one for the hatchback
you should be good to go
also the peace shouldnt cost more than $50

i got one for a friends hatchback si/dx a few years ago on ebay for 36 shipped

so between 40 and 50 dollars is what this should cost you new

I cannot find a hatchback regulator anywhere. All I am finding are sedan regulators. Every auto part store says "no matches found" for 1991 Honda Civic Si hatchback window regulator.

From looking at the parts diagram that car didn't have power windows in the first place. Aftermarket parts places always have wrong parts and info.
car-part.com is your friend here for a used known compatible regulator.

Yup, the windows in my 1990 Civic Si are manual only, so figure the 1991 is the same. Don't remember them having the option for power windows.

Junk yard for this one, I couldn’t even find one through the parts store I worked at..so the yard was the best option at this point ... I was out looking for my driver side regulator and I could not find a hatch that day so I took one out of a 89 crx on a “maybe”. I took it home and cleaned it up a little better greased it up and slapped it in within a few minutes and it worked perfectly. The only problem I had with it is when I rolled it down it stops probably about a half inch short from being completely down past the door panel, but in the long run it’s better then not having a window that doesn’t roll down at all
